Former FBI Director James Comey illegally leaked memos he kept of his conversations with Trump to the liberal media in order to prompt a special counsel.
It looks like Comey also used the classified memos for his new memoir “A Higher Loyalty.”“The DOJ has yet to lift a finger,” said Judicial Watch president, Tom Fitton.
Comey penned 7 memos stemming from 9 private conversations he had with Trump.
Although 4 out of the 7 memos contained classified information, it is also argued by experts that all 7 memos are considered classified.
In James Comey’s new memoir, he revealed a private conversation he had with the president then trashed Trump’s marriage to First Lady Melania.
According to the New York Post, Trump expressed to Comey that it bothered him if there was ‘even a one percent chance’ his wife, Melania, thought it was true.
Comey said he privately wondered why Melania might think there was even a 1 percent chance the allegations were true, claiming there is “zero chance” his own wife would believe such a claim.
“In what kind of marriage, to what kind of man, does a spouse conclude there is only a 99 percent chance her husband didn’t do that?” he writes in the book, which hits shelves April 17.
Comey also wrote about his private dinner at the White House with President Trump just weeks after the president was sworn into office.
Yahoo reported:
Comey writes that to him, “The demand was like Sammy the Bull’s Cosa Nostra induction ceremony,” referring to Salvatore “Sammy the Bull” Gravano, a former leader of the Gambino crime family, whose testimony ultimately helped convict mob boss John Gotti.
Comey responded with silence, he writes in the book, and Trump moved the conversation along. Later in the dinner, Trump returned to the subject: “I need loyalty.”
“You will always get honesty from me,” Comey writes that he responded.
“That’s what I want, honest loyalty,” Trump said.
“You will get that from me,” Comey responded.
President of Judicial Watch Tom Fitton was furious Comey once again used his private [classified] memos for public use and pointed out that the DOJ has yet to lift a finger.
Tom Fitton tweeted: We already know Comey took FBI records and illegally leaked them to get a special counsel appointed as part of his vendetta against @realDonaldTrump. Now it looks like he doubled down and used them also to write a book. And the DOJ/FBI has yet to lift a finger. In February, Judicial Watch sued for FBI docs on Comey’s new memoir. We already know Comey took FBI records and illegally leaked them to get a special counsel appointed as part of his vendetta against @realDonaldTrump. FBI officials are usually required to submit transcripts for pre-publication review. JW wants to know whether Comey got special treatment, like he did when he leaked info to the media.
Comey’s book hits shelves on April 17th; he will also be sitting down for an interview with sycophant George Stephanopoulos on Friday.
Brace yourselves; the media will be obsessing over Comey’s book and slobbering all over him for the next few months.
