Slicing through the fake news of the MSM, if we simply listen to what Colin Kaepernick said in his own words as to why said he would not stand during the playing of the Anthem, the truth comes closer into focus:

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.  To me this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way."

In turn, that is what the NFL and some 200 people in the NFL say they support.   Throw in the fact that his girlfriend is an outspoken Muslim member of Black Lives Matter...and the picture becomes even clearer.
